Adaptive reuse of a 40,000 square foot industrial building, constructed in the early 20^th century as a mushroom columned, skylit grocery store, and later used as a small shopping mall, provided a new senior center and central offices for Greater Lynn Senior Services.  Serving several communities in Boston’s North Shore area, the active GLSS program now housed here extends the community life of this substantial and unusual historic building in a vital and contributing way.
