Located in a state historic district on Cape Cod, this project included the design of a new campus plan for a four and a half acre campus, accommodating a residential program serving mentally ill girls. With the participation of administration, staff, and residents, present needs and future goals were identified and used to evaluate alternative approaches to site use.

Use of the site’s natural environment provided a structuring priority, with the creation of an eleven station “life course” exercise path, the integration of existing, natural vegetation with proposed plantings, and the minimization of disturbance to wetlands being significant programmatic factors.
