The Wellspring House complex, located in the greater Gloucester area, serves residential and support needs of homeless and abused women and their children.  Elton + Hampton Architects designed an addition to an existing family homeless shelter, incorporating offices and an educational center where disadvantaged or abused women could gain skills to enter the workforce or improve societal functioning.  The addition organized the site as a “Village Green,” integrating play, garden, and private/public yard areas.
