The renovation of this abandoned, bow-front Victorian building, formerly used as a nursing home, preserved one of many substantial, elegant buildings characteristic of this area of Roxbury, while creating residential alternatives to meet the community’s special housing needs.

Design provided single room occupancy accommodations for seventeen individuals with chronic mental illness, with shared living, dining, and bathing facilities.
