This renovation of an historic but derelict six story masonry building in Lawrence’s urban core, and the addition of a complementary adjacent six story building, contributes to the revitalization of a major downtown street.  The original building, recipient of historic tax credits, has been faithfully restored to its prior graceful beauty. Together, original and new buildings provide 48 units of affordable housing with shared core facilities, and four street level retail areas.  The project has the eager support of the city, and is an important part of the process of rejuvenating downtown Lawrence. Construction of the project was completed in Spring of 2008.
