Substantial renovation of masonry bearing wall buildings in several rental and condominium apartment complexes will result in 230 new and modernized affordable living units.  Extensive redesign of buildings and units was undertaken to create larger units and more accessible units, to improve egress, to offer new and improved amenities for residents, and to provide new, environmentally efficient building systems.  Landscaping and envelope improvements will be completed, sustaining these buildings as important components in the city’s stock of affordable housing for both renters and homowners.
