P. Nicholas Elton, A.I.A. Principal

A graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Registered Architect since 1980, Nick Elton has been a passionate and tireless advocate for the value that good design can bring to the lives of less advantaged people and neighborhoods.  As Principal in his own firm since 1986, he has produced more than 1,200 units of affordable family housing in communities in and around Boston, along with numerous community resource and cultural buildings; learning and residential facilities for mentally ill, hearing impaired, working poor, elderly, and homeless populations; educational, day care, and day health facilities for young children and disabled & elderly populations; and creative solutions for alternative housing needs.

Nick Elton’s insight and motivation has guided master planning work for large under-developed or blighted areas in Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, and Allston.  His body of work includes successful adaptive reuse of significant buildings, planning and new construction of multi-building projects, and an emphasis on the use of sustainable materials and energy conservation technology.
