With undergraduate and graduate degrees from Rhode Island School of Design, and thirty years of experience in architectural design, including twenty years as Principal in his own firm, Ian Burr has particular expertise in sustainable technology and design, structural and framing issues, and construction administration.

A gifted coordinator with exceptional organizational and management skills, and former studio teacher at Roger Williams University, Ian is a highly qualified member of Elton + Hampton’s organization.  His competent and even-handed approach to complex sequencing, strategy, and cost issues makes him an expert facilitator of the construction process.
